Bloowater Project

Bloowater is a WJPI project to support tools for the integrated management of drinking water reservoirs contaminated by Cyanobacteria and cyanotoxins.

The project aims to reduce pollution related to toxins from algal blooms

Increase safe drinking water

Implement of integrated water resources management

Develop early warning systems towards better adaptation and impact reduction of climate changes

Raise awareness of harmfull algal blooms

The pilot areas are Lake Erken (Sweden), Lake Albano and Lake Cingoli (Italy).
